Sorry for the title :-) But there is a high chance that your website really sucks, LOL. Now, we are not here to laugh - we are here to show you how to improve it - or, to be more specific - we'll share some things with you that will make it super easy for you to pinpoint the problems of your website, and fix them. When helping our customers and subscribers improve their websites, our primary focus is on attracting the traffic, and then helping those visitors take your most wanted action. While our opinion and advice helps a lot, most of the time we are not the potential "buyer" of your products of services. What you really need is to get at least a few people who are INTERESTED in your site's topic, to give you advice on your site. This is not hard to do. You need to find 4-5 people interested in your niche, and ask them to visit your website. Then, ask these questions: - did they feel like the website is informative and provided value; - was it easy to navigate, did they find what they were looking for; - would they share the website with their friends on FaceBook, Twitter, other social sites; - would they take your most wanted action for the site? (optin to your list / buy a product / share some article, etc.) - how would they suggest to improve your site. These people can be your friends, or friends of friends. If you do not want to ask friends, and if you have a list, send them an email and ask these same questions - you might be surprised at how many people actually respond with their feedback and suggestions! The "Mom" Test The "Mom" test is simple but powerful. Ask your mom to find something on your website. If she can find it, then the navigation you have is top notch! :-) If your mom cannot find what you asked her to find, then maybe other people will not be able to find that either - make some changes so that they can access the most important areas of your website easier.
