it’s a good idea to have a fire escape plan that the entire family is familiar with in the unfortunate event that there is a fire

Smoke Alarms

➜ First and foremost, check that the smoke alarms in your home are up-to-date and functioning properly.

➜ An early warning from your smoke alarms could give you or loved ones just a few extra seconds to escape before the fire completely takes over

Escape Routes

➜ Walk through the house together and identify two possible ways out of every room, remembering to include windows as emergency exits

➜ For windows on the second story, there are purpose built escape ladders that are affordable and easy to store, keeping in mind it is always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to emergencies.
