• The bill of lading is a document issued by the carrier (company) detailing the shipment of goods
What to Look For• Make sure the terms are identical to
the order of service.• Double check the moving company's:– Name– Phone number – Address
• All companies involved must be listed
What to Look For• Make sure the method of payment
listed on the bill of lading matches what you agreed to.
• It should have a list of all your items and the condition of each BEFORE the move.

• Shipper: Customer• Carrier: Company• Consigner/Consignee: the person who
sends/receives the shipment on behalf of the shipper
