Proper Backup

Defragment and Scandisk
Run defragment and scandisk at least once ortwice a month on your business computers.This will prevent crashes and keep your harddrive healthy.
Limit the Computer Start-Up Time
Never let a lot of programs load up when you first startyour computer. They use valuable Windows internalworkspace and memory. Close them if you don’t need themor configure them not to load when the computer startsbooting up.
Firewall
A firewall system keeps hijackers awayfrom business computers. If yourbusiness is running with a high speedinternet connection, then a good firewallsystem is a must need for you. Youreally don’t want someone else runningyour computer.
Computer Power
Never, ever turn off the computer with thepower switch until Windows has shut down.Cutting the power between Windowsshutdown can result in lost data or Windowsfile. This will also prevent permanent harddrive defects.
