2. ABOUT ESC Electronic Stamping Corporation (ESC) is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, with a focus on Customer Satisfaction. ESC has been an industry leader in precision, complex formed, miniature custom stamping over 30 years using high speed progressive dies and four slide tooling. The production quantities can be from a few prototypes to millions of parts. 3. CORPORATE PHILOSOPHY Electronic Stamping Corporation's core business is to custom stamp and form miniature to medium size precision parts. In our business we are responsive to working with your product engineers during the development stages of new programs. We supply critical stamped, formed, and plated components to the computer and business machine, telecommunication, automotive, military, aerospace, medical, industrial controls, and home entertainment industries. 4. CORPORATE PHILOSOPHY These components must be of the highest quality standards; defects, if any, in the parts per million range; they must be delivered on time, not early or late; the quantity must be correct; they must bypass incoming inspection and go directly onto the production floor; the price must be right. Having satisfied these criteria, we feel that we are ready to do business. We have accomplished these standards with our principal customers, and look forward to the opportunity of working with your organization in the same way. 5. TOOLING PHILOSOPHY 6. CAPABILITIES & SERVICES 7. CAPABILITIES & SERVICES 8. CAPABILITIES & SERVICES: STAMPING We supply precision stamped parts on continuous coils and bandoliers as well as loose parts, using progressive dies and four slide machines. Serving a wide range of industries and difficulty levels: from high tolerance commercial parts to tight tolerance critical parts used in the medical, electronic, and automotive industries. The only limitation will be the size and complexity of the part itself being stamped. Our stamping presses range from 10 tons to our latest addition of a 110 ton press. We take responsibility for the post stamping operations such as de-burring, heat treatment and finishing processes, including precious metal plating. 9. CAPABILITIES & SERVICES: PROTOTYPING Supply prototype parts complete to print for trial runs and pilot runs, using press blanking, chemical etching, laser cut blanks and secondary forming tools. 10. CAPABILITIES & SERVICES: FABRICATION Metal fabrication using punching, bending, welding, brazing and other operations. The supporting process can be CNC Turret punching, chemical etching. Formed parts are fabricated using press brakes and secondary tools. 11. CAPABILITIES & SERVICES: SECONDARY OPERATIONS Most of the stampings that we supply go into some sub- assembly which could be your next operation, and chances are we can take responsibility to help you out with some secondary operations so that you can eliminate some of your valuable time, effort, and floor space at your facility. 12. QUALITY CONTROL & ASSURANCE Quality assurance and technical support are provided to our customers through precision-grade inspection instruments. We provide our employees with training programs in inspection technologies and statistical process control. Our video measuring system uses the latest optical, video and image processing technologies that allow us to measure the most demanding parts quickly and accurately. All of Electronic Stamping Corporation's Inspection equipment are calibrated per ANSI-Z540-1 and is traceable to NIST. Our Quality records, including calibration, material and other process certification, first article inspection and production inspection results are kept on file for a minimum of five years 13. QUALITY CONTROL & ASSURANCE Electronic Stamping Corporation offers Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Flowchart, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Process Control Plan, Material Performance Test Results, Gage R & R, Capability Study at our customer request. 14. EXAMPLES 16. EXAMPLES 17. TECH INFORMATION Prototype parts: US or China? If there is tooling involved and a lot of manual operations, we get it done in China Type of materials: Copper and copper-based materials such as brass, phosphor bronze, beryllium copper, various grades of carbon steel including spring steel, stainless and alloyed steel, insulating materials such as Kapton and Mylar Material Thickness: 0.001 to 0.045; higher thickness can be stamped depending on the size and complexity of the part. Current thickest material being stamped is 0.080 mild steel. 18. TECH INFORMATION Part sizes: Miniature stampings with tight tolerances, dependent on material thickness and complexity Press size: 5 tons to 110 tons Typical timing and tool ballpark costs: Hard to give these as it is subject to the type, size, and complexity of the part Plating/coating: Approved outside sources. Precision stamping services using progressive dies and four slide tools is our main business. As a service and courtesy to our customers, we accept to provide other services like deburring and cleaning, heat treating, coating and plating process 19. TECH INFORMATION Where do they do their tooling builds? In house and in China Where are their manufacturing locations? Only one, at the current location Quality ratings and processes: We are ISO certified since 2000 and in the process of getting certified for the TS 16949, in the third quarter of 2014 What other capabilities do they have that might not be stamping? What other products might was want to consider ESC for that maybe we didnt know they had the capability of doing? Sometimes we accept the responsibility to sub-contract other metal fabrication processes such as CNC machining, water jet, CNC wire EDM, CNC turret punching and forming 20. TECH INFORMATION Do they have any design guidelines they can provide for when detailing drawings for Terminals or others like stamping? (min. bend radii, min, gap distance between terminals, min. tangent distance between bends, min/max material thicknesses, etc.) As all of these are pretty subjective and various factors and combinations effect each, it has to be reviewed on an individual basis. General guidelines for minimum bend radii is 2X the material thickness and the minimum hole/opening is also 2X the material thickness. Recommended to avoid any dimensioning to imaginary intersecting points, center points of radii, and circles. Avoid any dimensions that are not necessary, especially angles, where dimensions desired that affect the function of the part are defined clearly 21. TECH INFORMATION What makes ESC stand out above any other stamping supplier? ESC is small but efficient with personal involvement and commitment by the management and owner. We offer quick response to customer inquiries, customer concerns, etc. 22.
