This pattern of active growth followed by the resting period varies significantly from person to person and is influenced by age, diet and our state of health. Hair is primarily made of a protein called keratin that also makes nails and forms the outer protective layer of skin. Each hair consists of three layers: The cuticle, cortex, and Medulla. The cuticle is the protective layer, the cortex contains the melanin which is responsible for hair color and the medulla reflects light.

Vitamin A can be found in orange and yellow color vegetables whereas vitamin C can be found in citrus fruits, other vitamins like Vitamin E can be found in Nuts and dry fruits. Omega 3 fatty acids are the most useful fats which trigger the hair growth process. These fats help in keeping the hair hydrated. These are found in fish like salmon, trout, and herring. It can also be found in avocado, pumpkin seeds, and walnut. Hair massage is one of the best ways to get rid of stress. The massage improves the blood circulation process and regenerates the hair follicles. The massage will be most beneficial when mixed with essential oils like rosemary, jasmine and lavender.
