Merck Pakistan has 102 products covering 43 brands. It is ninth on the list of pharmaceutical multinational corporations in Pakistan, capturing 2.7% market share of the market. Keeping the demands of the Pakistani market in mind, Merck has been constantly developing and launching many new products, between 2000 and 2011, we have launched 26 products.

Major products - Pharma Neurobion® (Neurotropic Vitamins), Neuromet® (neurotropic vitamins), Sangobion® (iron deficiency anemia), Glucophage®/Glucovance® (antidiabetic agents), Buscopan Plus® (antispasmodic), Concor® (antihypertensive/beta- blocker), Evion® (vitamin E)

Major products - Chemicals Chemicals for analytical labs, HPLC solvents, chromatography & FEA products, microbiology, microscopy, Iriodin® pigments for the printing, plastics and coatings industries, etc.

Merck Pakistan exports products to Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Myanmar.

Diabetes & Cardiolgy

Business unit D&C comprises of both global brands and branded generics in the large and rapidly growing therapeutic segments of diabetes, cardiovascular disorders, and central nervous system.

Gynae & Fertility

Business unit G&F offers a diverse product portfolio in general medicine, female health care, and fertility which include class leading haematinic, vitamin and non steroidal anti-inflammatory brands.

Gastrointestinal Care

Business unit GIC offers a diversified product mix for functional GI disorders, it provides worldwide trusted antispasmodic, laxative, and anti-ulcerant comprising of market leader brands. Its vitamin portfolio offers B-complex with zinc supplement which is available in oral and injectable form. It also offers a range of cough syrups for the treatment of dry and productive cough.

Merck Chemicals & Diagnostics

Merck Pakistan started its operation of Chemicals and Diagnostics back in 1979 by establishing the Diagnostics Division. After our successful experience in this area, we hired people who had relevant, hands-on experience in pharmaceutical, food, and plastics industries. We also utilised the talent of our Diagnostics field force in the areas of Microbiology, Chromatography and WFA (water and food analytics). Today, Merck Pakistan is a leader in the fields of solvents, inorganics, organics and microscopy. We have also consolidated our position in the areas of microbiology, WFA and chromatography, and look forward to continuously improving our position in these areas.
