The Challenge The “K“ is one of the world’s most important trade fairs for the plastics industry. Sesotec exhibited at the fair in 2013. Painstaking preparations were necessary to ensure that the company would get the maximum benefit from their participation. All existing and potential customers were to be invited to the trade fair and provided with product information. At the same time an online campaign was started to advertise the company’s products and its presence at the fair. The offline and online activities needed to be precisely intertwined.

Our Solution Our multilingual team first processed and revised 1,200 contact addresses for various European countries. In the meantime, 6 weeks before the trade show, our Online Marketing Department started a microsite and a PPC campaign with Google Ads and placed banners on various relevant portals. During the trade fair we conducted a survey for Sesotec, asking visitors for their opinion of the new visuals and of the current advertising campaign.

Benefits

During the call centre activities many of the interested parties took advantage of the invitation to make an appointment to visit the stand. Most of the time the stand was overcrowded and neighbouring exhibitors were amazed that people headed purposefully to the Sesotec stand.

Interviews in 5 languages were conducted by just 2 members of the effective staff. The survey results gave Sesotec insight into their customer’s perception of the current campaign.

Our team not only checked and corrected the details for 1,200 international contacts, but also gained valuable information regarding product use and purchase behaviour.

Furthermore, 10% of those contacts called could be directly passed on to the Sales Department.
