Sustainable Energy For Lighting
Muhamad Adha Bin Sayuti2013222526
Introduction
“Energy efficiency is not an ‘out-of-the-box’ concept; it is part of the day-to-day operations of any building. The driver for implementing energy-efficiency measures in any building is to have senior management buy-in and to educate maintenance staff about building-efficiency parameters along with the financial and nonfinancial benefits of energy efficiency. Energy efficiency is a core characteristic of achieving sustainability in a building’s operations” (NRDC, 2013)
Problem Statement
• Lighting has been the top four from the energy most uses in a building in America. So, the problem that will be occur for the most building is if the rate of the electricity is rise, can they afford to pay it?
• Besides the problem of rises electricity tariff, another problem that we have overlook is the greenhouse gas emission that effected by the use of the ordinary lamp. For a long period we have used the lamp that lead to the changes of climate and global warming.
Aims & Objectives
• Aim
To highlight the appliances that can lead to sustainable energy consumption.
• Objectives– To analyze the way of reducing energy consumption in building.– To discuss the suitable appliances to be installed for sustainable
energy consumption.
Research Questions
1. What is the way to reduce the energy consumption in building?
2. Why does the sustainable energy important to us?
3. How does the energy used by building can cause effect to the greenhouse gas emissions?
Limitation of Research
The limitation that we had to face :
• Hard to find the information of the electricity fractions in Malaysia about lighting.
• Lack of case study provide the cost of retrofitting the old lamp to the sustainable artificial lighting.
Statement of Significance
• To know the appliance that can lead to sustainable energy. As we know that the cost of electrical rate will rise abreast of the time, so we must know the way to solve the future problem. Besides, the greenhouse emissions have become a problem to us to maintain the world climate. So, this research will show us the way to reducing the greenhouse emissions.

Research Outline
Chapter 1 : Introduction– Give the general explanation about the topic that we
have choose, problem statement, aim and objectives, scope and limitation of the study, importance of the study, methodology and summary of each chapter.
Chapter 2 : Literature Review– Describe on details about the definition, concept,
process types and other information that had been related with the objective of the research. It is review from the past research and also other sources like journal, internet, article and others.
Research Outline (cont’d)
• Chapter 3 : Case Study
Analyze the way of reducing energy consumption on building. Besides, it also discuss about the suitable appliances to be installed to reduce electrical energy consumption. It is based on the problem statement that been faced by the building in Malaysia.
• Chapter 4 : Analysis and Finding of The ResearchThe author will analyzed the data obtained from
the quantitative data and qualitative data that has been done.
Research Outline (cont’d)
• Chapter 5 : Conclusion and RecommendationThe last chapter is the conclusion where the author will made the conclusion based on the aim and objectives that has been achieved.
