AUDIENCE It was awesome to have a diverse crowd at our inaugural meeting consisting of both growth companies and mature companies! GROWTH COMPANIES Our attendees were largely from companies with 1-5 employees from the Lansing area. We promote directly and indirectly to this demographic as well as to the Lansing business community at large. MATURE COMPANIES Additionally, many larger companies were represented like Dominos, JNL, State of Michigan, MSUFCU, MSU, TechSmith, etc.

Attendee Feedback I had a really great time! Thank you for being a wonderful host. I really like the when you gave the opportunity for those to introduce themselves around the room and gain a better idea of who all was in the room. That was unique and I really enjoyed that. I look forward to seeing the speaker next month. Good event! Fast paced and on schedule start to finish. I liked the 60 second “pitch” by attendees at the end. I really enjoyed the event and you did an excellent job as moderator. The interview was really cool and I admire your Q&A style. It was nice to hear a fellow entrepreneur's successes and struggles, and you did an awesome job paraphrasing and reiterating important points. Sometimes, being self-employed is isolating. To hear we are not alone in our experiences as a start-up and knowing what others did to make it through is inspiring. I can't wait for the next event. I really enjoyed the opportunity to mix and mingle afterward and appreciated having people stand up and introduce themselves and talk about how they can help fellow entrepreneurs. That was a great accent to the evening and allowed for some great conversations subsequently. Maybe sandwiching the intros between ice-breaking and the interview would facilitate more engagement with the speaker. If the guest knows the crowd skews more creative or more technical, they can touch on points more relevant to the audience and generate more questions/comments.
