software as a service company, founded in 1999 by Ryan Finley.

SurveyMonkey provides free, customizable surveys, as well as a suite

DISADVANTAGES

For a free survey, the number of questions

contained is 10 at most, and that of the survey

subjects is limited to 100. There are also many

other limitations for a free version.

SurveyMonkey is English-oriented, which may

not be handy for some Chinese users.

MY THOUGHTS

In the journalism field, survey is a much-used method to understand and analyze public opinion as well as produce exclusive news. With the help of SurveyMonkey, journalists could create their own professional surveys and collect responses in real time.

In my personal opinion, survey is an indispensable part of newspeople’s lives and it can help facilitate the news production in general.
