OVERVIEW OF THE LEARNING PLAN

Due to many cases of the abandonment of special children, the group decided to conduct a mini-livelihood campaign, specifically accessory making, for the surrendered disabled people in an orphanage called Cottolengo Filipino.

The group decided to hold the campaign there because Cottolengo Filipino is one of the most popular religious private non-stocks, non-profit, non-government organizations that aim to serve the most poor, abandoned and surrendered people with disabilities.

The group decided to focus on disabled people because the group looks forward on sharing their knowledge and offer a couple of hours to help in the said organization as we (the group) pursue the specific objectives of our campaign.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES• KNOWLEDGE (COGNITIVE DOMAIN) To integrate the

minds of people with disabilities by talking to them about doing something productive through bracelet making and recreational activities such as play therapy, storytelling, drawing, colouring and small group sharing.

• SKILLS (PSYCHOMOTOR DOMAIN) To produce bracelets through a mini-livelihood project like bracelet-making that intends to make the disabled people’s leisure time more fruitful as we aim it to be a continuous project by letting it be a part of the foundation’s mini-business project together with handicraft and candle-making.

• ATTITUDE/BEHAVIOR (AFFECTIVE DOMAIN) To put into practice the skills and knowledge that the group imparted to the disabled people and to be able to value, appreciate and see the need of cherishing and enjoying life through doing fun and vigorous activities, interactions and seeing things in a positive way.
