‘INTENSITY’

I thnk the colour scheme of my masthead will be dynamic and eye catching, esay to read, but not a boring font. I will have to chose a font that echoes the theme of grunge,so a sort of eroding text would work well- but I have to make sure that the readers can actually know what it says, so it is clear.

- Main feature

My title will relate to the front cover image. Basically, the article will be on the model on the front cover. I have chosen to feature a solo artist, so this title will have to be eye catching and intriguing to make the readers want to read more.

I could use a rhetorical question, a pun, a dynamic statement or quote as my title.

- Artist image

The main image on my front cover is going to be a female solo artist. I want to create strong feelings of power, rebellion and strength in this image, as it goes well with my music genre of grunge/rock.

To do this, I will have to make sure not only my model is posing right, but also the mise-en-scen like her outfit, makeup and scenery also fit well with the overall theme.

- Other features

Other features will include other stories/articles from the magazine

These are going to be smaller than my main title, but still have to be enticing and make the readers want to buy the magazine.

- List of other bands

To make the reader even more persuaded to buy the magazine, I am going to list the names of the bands/artists involved in my magazine. These will include a few of the most popular bands that I know my audience probably listen to, such as Green Day, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters etc.

- posters/ Free Extras

I am going to include a free music download and some free posters or stickers in my magazine. This ‘extra’ bonus the readers are getting will make them even more entitled to buy my magazine. I will probably link my free music download to the main artist/title- and the posters of some popular bands that I know my audience will like.
