The History of Instagram• Instagram is…. Twitter for Photos(and Videos)• Launched in October of 2010• Was only available officially to iOS users until

April 2012• Sold to Facebook in April of 2012 shortly after

the first Android App was released• Facebook acquisition brought many users, and

many spammers • Video feature added in June of 2013 to

compete with Vine• In December of 2013 “Instagram Direct”

feature was added. • Monday (3/10/14) New feature added to

adjust brightness/contrast

Achieving Ninja Status• Keep your content relevant to your

audience• Know when & what to post
