Medium close up

The medium close up is used in this clip to show the contrast between the two hands. The red line suggest to the audience that there is a difference between the two hands suggesting there is two sides to a story we will later find out.

Extreme close up

Extreme close up is used showing the audience that the words highlighted may have a relevance to what the film is about. Allowing the audience to be engaged within the mystery.

Non diegetic sound

Non diegetic sound was used throughout cross cutting through different actions. The music used allowed the audience to be enticed throughout gripping them to watch more. This engaged the audience well and had relevance to the actions used that through continuous cross cutting.

Wide shot

The wide shot was used to show the setting of the film. Also the use of low-key lighting suggests to the audience the negative mood of the characters were about to meet.
