How to get publications into APR
Importing from Pubmed
• Import records from PubMed directly– Author + date (or other fields)– Pubmed ID (PMID)
OPTIONAL: Finding the PubMed ID number
Import from PubMed
Import by connecting to PubMed
Name and date
PubMed ID number
OR
Select records from search result list
Handle duplicates
Click Skip (or import if it is not a duplicate), then Continue
Finish Import

Creating BibTex File in World of Science
To export citations to a BibTeX file from Web of Science:1. Navigate to the Results page and choose
the records you want to export2. Select the option to include “author, title,
source, abstract” for items in your export3. In the save to menu, select save to other
file formats, then select BibTeX4. Select Save to proceed5. In the resulting dialog box, select Save or OK6. Save the resulting file to your preferred
location
Create BibTex file in EndNote
Step 1: If you do not see the output style in your EndNote, Download and install the “BibTeX output style”1. Go to EndNote Output Styles (http://endnote.com/downloads/styles
) 2. Search for “BibTeX”3. Select the Download button for the BibTeX output style4. Installation instructions are on the right-hand side of the Styles page
Step 2: Export citations to a BibTex file.5. Open your library of references in EndNote6. Expand the Drop-Down list in the toolbar at the top of the screen that
says “Select Another Style…” and select the BibTex option. 7. To complete the export of your selected citation information
a. Navigate to the File menub. Select Exportc. Enter your filename(and navigate to where to save the file) and confirm
that “BibTeX” is selected as the Output Styled. Select Save
BibTex files from Google Scholar
1. Navigate to Google Scholar.2. Select My Citations.3. Log in to your account. Upon signing in you
should see a list of your "articles."4. Select the articles to export5. In the Actions drop-down list choose Export
your articles.6. Select BibTeX as the File Format, then
select to export either the selected articles or all articles, depending on your need.
7. Save the export file.Note: Unless a delegate has direct access to the author’s Google Scholar account, the delegate will only be able to export individual citations.
A Note About Google Scholar
• The assumption is that an author (as opposed to a delegate) will aggregate his/her own citations via Google Scholar Citations and will export to a BibTeX file.
• Unless a delegate has direct access to the author’s Google Scholar account, the delegate will only be able to export individual citations.
BibTeX from Zotero Online
To export citations to a BibTeX file:1. Navigate to Zotero's homepage and log into your
account.2. In the menu bar select My Library and from the list on the
left-hand side, select the citation collection from which you would like to export.
3. In the pane on the right, select the citations you would like to export.
4. Select Export icon, (just above the Date Modified column)5. Select BibTeX output option.6. Select to save the file.7. Navigate to the location where the file was saved.8. Rename the file and add a “bib” or ".txt" extension (e.g.,
Name.bib).

Continue by dealing with duplicates, etc. as above
