Feature overview

• Upgrade online - The organization upgrade tool makes it easier for the organization administrator to upgrade

SAAS installations online. No additional hardware or manual download of upgrade packages is required.

• Stay updated at all times - The easy-to-use organization upgrade process ensures that all merchants are

upgraded every time Ignify updates the application, giving merchants regular access to new and useful tools.

Merchants can provide better service to their customers with an upgraded application.

• Seamless upgrade - The model makes upgrades less cumbersome. Upgrade and maintenance are performed

behind the scenes, often involving minimal downtime. It enables customers to log in to a new and improved

system unbothered.

Whenever an upgrade is available for an organization, the CSR’s access to the organization via the Manager Panel is blocked. Only the Organization Administrator is authorized to initiate the upgrade organization process to unblock the CSR. The Organization Administrator sees all organizations requiring an upgrade and starts the upgrade process by clicking ‘Upgrade Organization.’

The upgrade process first updates the security database and then the organization database schema along with the master data, if any. The Organization Administrator is then directed to upgrade the business data manually. Given the business impact of this upgrade, the script should be carefully evaluated and modified to remove/edit any unwanted upgrades to business data as per business needs. This screen is later accessible to the organization users for review. Only the Security Administrators can edit and re-run the script if required.

Once the security database and organization database are upgraded, the organization upgrade process is complete, and the CSRs may log in to his organization. The Security Administrator can now view changes made to the business data. He can also modify and re-run the script if required. The Organization Administrator is displayed the status of the organization upgrade and can log in to the organization as well.

Track organization upgrade activity

All organization upgrade activity is logged under Security Audit Log for reference. In case of any system interruption during the entire process, the application will log the error to help understand the root cause of the unexpected interruption.
