What’s New: Sage Alerts & Workflow v9“Closed Loop Alerting”Sending an alert is all well & good, but how do you know that the person you’ve sent it to has received it and read it – and (most crucially) whether they’ll be able to act on it.

In version 9 of Alerts & Workflow, an outgoing alert message can now require that a recipient “acknowledge” the alert.

The acknowledgement option appears as a URL link within the received alert message.

No additional hardware or software is needed to use “acknowledgements” and all on-plan clients get acknowledgements free of charge.

What’s New: Sage Alerts & Workflow v9

Acknowledgement OptionsAlerts & Workflow version 9 supports six kinds of “acknowledgement” responses; web form templates are provided and are 100% customizable.

Different events may use different kinds of acknowledgement forms; one form could be for customers to acknowledge order details, and another form could be for service techs to acknowledge an assigned service call.

Among the acknowledgement options are the ability for an alert recipient to respond with a “yes”, “no”, or “cancel”, and to send back any pertinent comments.

What’s New: Sage Alerts & Workflow v9

Who Has - & Hasn’t - Acknowledged

When an alert recipient acknowledges receipt of an alert, that acknowledgement triggers other Alerts & Workflow notifications (such as alerting a sales representative that a client has acknowledged their order details).

Alerts & Workflow itself automatically tracks which alerts have required acknowledgements, who has (and hasn’t!) acknowledged their alerts (along with the recipient’s comments), and how long it took a recipient to acknowledge.

Where service levels and response times are involved, Acknowledgements are essential.
