Overview The CedCommerce Vendor Attribute Addon extension is basically an admin panel extension and

provides a facility to extract important information from the vendor about his/her profile as per

website admin’s requirements.

The Vendor Attributes are specifically used to provide the website admin a feature with which

various details can be dragged out from the vendor. These details may include Pan Card

Number, some Legal Information or any other information necessary for the website admin to

have.

This extension is dependent on the CedCommerce Marketplace extension and thus,

CedCommerce Marketplace should be installed prior to Vendor Attributes extension to ensure

proper working of Vendor Attribute extension.

Enable/Disable Vendor Attribute To enable the Vendor Attribute Addon, just select “Yes” in the “Enable Vendor Attribute

System” dropdown and click on “Save Config” button to save the system configuration settings.

Selecting “No” will disable the Vendor Attribute Addon and it features won’t show up on

frontend.

Manage Vendor Attributes From the admin panel go to the menu and select CsMarketplace > Vendor Attributes. From

here admin can edit new attribute’s information as well as he/she can create a new vendor

attributes. The already created vendor attributes are the system attributes that can’t be

deleted.

Add Vendor Attribute

Admin can create new vendor attribute by clicking on “Add Vendor Attribute” button.

a) Properties Tab It shows all the settings to manage the new attribute information.

Attribute Code - Vendor attribute code must be unique. It cannot be updated later.

Input type - The type of the vendor attribute can be set as

text/dropdown/multiselect/textarea. It cannot be updated later.

Default Value - Some default value can be provided here so that, in case no option

value has been provided then this value can be used.

Unique Value - If set to yes, it won’t allow duplicate values to be entered.

Value Required - If set to yes, it will become required field.

Validation for Store Owner - This is used to provide validations to the attribute value

being entered, for example, it can be only numbers or characters, etc.

Used in Vendor Profile Edit Form - If set to yes, it will appear in the Vendor Profile

Page at Frontend.

Position - This is used to set some sort order i.e. the position where it should be

shown.

b) Manage Label/Options Admin can add the label for this attribute by clicking on “Manage Label/Options”. If the

attribute is of dropdown type or multi-select type then there will be a provision to add

various options for that attribute.

c) Manage Attribute Group If some attributes have to be grouped in such a manner that they should belong only to

that particular group then, Manage Attribute Group can be used. Groups are used to

categorize the attributes. The attributes belonging to any group will be listed only in

that particular group on the Vendor Profile page, both at frontend and admin panel.

By Clicking on the save button all the attribute data will be saved and a new attribute

will be created in the Magento.

The frontend view of the Vendor Panel will look as shown below, after the Vendor Attributes

have been added and group has been created.

Delete Attribute The Vendor Attributes can be deleted by clicking on that particular attribute in the “Manage

Vendor Attributes” grid to open its Edit page. Then “Delete Attribute” button should be clicked

to delete that particular attribute completely.

Filterable Grid The “Manage Vendor Attributes” grid is filterable. It can be filtered on the basis of the column

data and after entering the filter conditions “Search” button should be clicked to display the

result of filter.
