Windows 8 - How to play PS-Tutorial avi files on the desktop.

From the Desktop

1. Open a Computer browser and browse to a directory containing an *.avi file.

2. Right mouse button click on a *.avi file and click Open with > Choose default program... from the

menu.

3. From the second menu select Use this application for all .avi files and click Windows Media

Player.

The icon for the *.avi files changes and all *.avi files will now open with Windows Media Player when

the link is selected in the tutorial. The avi will be played in the desktop window.
