WHAT IS THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO SPIRITISM

The Gospel according to Spiritism is the third of the five books that comprise the Spiritist Codification

It’s a compilation of teachings transmitted by high order spirits (the Spirits) about the Gospels

Organized and commented on by Allan Kardec Derives from the 3rd Part of The Spirits’ Book (Moral Laws) Contains the essence of the moral teachings of Jesus (as explained by

the High Order Spirits as our Guide and Role Model – Question 625) Providing a roof under which followers of all religions – even those

who profess no religion at all – can gather, for it offers a sure guide for our inner reform, which, according to Christ, is indispensable for us to find future happiness and inner peace.

THE AUTHORITY OF THE SPIRITIST DOCTRINE

Universal Test of the Spirits’ Teachings:

“The only true guarantee for spirits’ teachings is in the overall agreement amongst revelations made spontaneously through a large number of mediums unknown to one other and in several places.”

THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS WORK

The subject matter contained in the Gospels may be divided into five parts:

• the ordinary events in the life of Christ,

• the miracles,

• the prophecies,

• the words that served for establishing the dogmas of the Church

• the moral teachings. Although the first four havebeen the object of

controversy, the last has remained unquestionable.

INTRODUCTION

Before this divine code, disbelief itself bows down; it is the ground upon which all sects can meet; the banner under which all may take shelter, whatever their beliefs may be, for it has never been the object of religious dispute, which has always and in all places originated from matters of dogma

BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL – CHAPTER X

Shall Obtain Mercy

The Merciful

Be reconciled as quickly as possible with your adversary, while you are with him

on the way so that he does not hand you over to the judge, and so that the judge does not hand your over to the Minister

of Justice, so that you may not be imprisoned.

Verily, I say to you that you will not leave there as long as you have not paid the

last farthing. (Mt. 5:25-26)

THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind; this is the greatest and first commandment. And this is the second, which is similar to it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. All the law and the prophets are contained in these two commandments.”

(Mt. 22:34-40)
