Prayer of Invocation

E Īhowa, e tō mātou Atua, O Lord, our God,

Kia nā mātou i te ata i Tāu mahi tohu:

satisfy us in the morning with Your mercy:

Kia hari ai mātou, kia koa ai

i te rā katoa. That we may

rejoice and be glad all the day.

Whakaorangia mātou i ngā mea horihori katoa

Deliver us from all the vain things

which have such power over us;

long-suffering and abundant in goodness and truth,

bow down the ear of Your compassion to us:

as with penitence we confess our sins to You:

Fill them with the spirit of Jesus so that they may be able to worship and serve You with a restful mind and

We, who have been called to serve You, give thanks for all

Your goodness to us.

te ao. We thank You for the privilege of

being part of creation and for all the blessings that it
