“OPEN SAYS-A-ME” – In order to make access to the building easier for some visitors and

members, we are looking to add handicap accessible doors to both sets of doors at the South entrance.

Donations and memorials are now being requested to cover the cost of this new project. Please

contact Pastor Dave, or Michelle in the office at 468-4065 or [email protected], for more information.

LAST DAY TO ORDER EASTER FLOWERS – Sign-up TODAY to place flowers on the altar for

Easter Sunday; sheets are on the Narthex counter. The cost is $10 each. A variety of spring plants will

be purchased, such as Easter Lilies, Tulips, Daffodils, etc. Place $10 in one of the envelopes provided

and put it in the offering plate.

HOLY WEEK – A supper will be offered by Green Bay Trinity faculty between the 4 and 6:30pm

services on Maundy Thursday. Pick up a copy of the April issue of The Voice for a schedule of

services thru Easter and special events thru the end of May.

PLANTS FOR SHUT-INS – Once again the Board of Evangelism has purchased plants for our shut-

ins. We ask members to take one of the plants and deliver it to the person noted. The address and

phone number are included on the label. Plan a short visit when you go; it will make your day!

EASTER EVENT TODAY – Come to the Youth Room after the Sunday School Lenten Pageant for

an Easter egg hunt (approximately 11:45am). Fun is guaranteed!

MISSIONARY NEWS – Our missionaries in Nigeria were "pulled out" due to some rising violence

in their area. They had only a couple of days to say goodbye to friends and colleagues they'd known

for so many years. They are in Texas waiting to see where Our Lord will have them serve in the

future. Please keep them in your prayers as they all try to adjust to such a sudden change in their life.

For the latest from all of our missionaries, please check out the Evangelism bulletin board.

"STEPPING ON" – This program will be held at Our Saviour beginning April 16 thru June 4! It is

an ADRC ‘fall prevention program’ for seniors age 60+ that have fallen, have a fear of falling or want

to avoid falling. It meets 2 hours a week for 7 weeks; the cost is $10. More information on the time

and how to register will follow. This is a great opportunity to build confidence and prevent injuries.

IS IT SCRIP TIME? – There is no time like today to start buying SCRIP from Our Saviour! A

percentage of each card sold automatically becomes a donation to OSLC. You plan to buy groceries

or gas, or you plan to eat out, OSLC gets a donation. To learn more, stop by the Welcome Center

today or come to the office during regular business hours. If you have (or will have) a child at Green

Bay Trinity, OSL Preschool or in the youth group, ask about our ‘tuition reimbursement’ program.

PRESCHOOL ENROLLING – OSLC Preschool is enrolling for the 2012-13 school year. Call 468-

4065 for more information or for registration materials. Age is based on September 1, 2012 (must be

3 or 4 by September 1 to enroll). If your 5 year old isn’t quite ready for Kindergarten, we would

welcome him or her to join the 4-year-old Monday/Wednesday/Friday class!

HERE FOR THE TAKING – The April-June issue of Portals of Prayer is available in the Narthex.

The FEBRUARY Council minutes and APRIL ‘Voice Online’ are available at the Welcome Center.

WE NEED KIDS’ STUFF! – Pack up those clothes that no longer fit, the toys that are no longer

played with, etc. Donations accepted from 8-noon and 12:30-4:30pm Monday thru Friday or on

Sunday mornings until May 13. The date of the sale, Saturday, May 19, is just two months away!

Have donations that aren’t quite right for the Kids’ Only sale? We can add them to the stash for the

Super Sale later this year. To volunteer for the Kids’ Only Sale contact Maggie Hinz at her new email

address [email protected] or the church office at (920) 468-4065.

DO YOU RUMMAGE SALE? – We are still looking for a ‘go-to’ person for the Super Sale this

year. We want to plan a meeting to organize so that things can go smoothly under a new organizer. If

you just want to be a volunteer, let us know that, too! Please call Michelle at 468-4065. The current

date selected for the sale is Saturday, August 18.

THRIVENT CHOICE DOLLARS – Are you a member of Thrivent Financial? If so, you may have

‘Thrivent Choice Dollars’ to designate to selected Lutheran charities, including Our Saviour Lutheran

Church. Please call 1-800-THRIVENT (847-4836) to find out and designate your available dollars to

the Lutheran charity of your choice. We thank those members who have already selected OSLC.

PIES FOR EASTER – Gift Certificates for pies (fruit or cream) from the East Mason Perkins are

available from Shirley Knaus (435-0072 or 660-8983). These certificates are sold as a fundraiser for

Green Bay Trinity Lutheran School; the school receives $2 for each certificate sold. Order forms can

be found at the Welcome Center; checks should be made payable to PWP. Orders can be given to the

church office or placed in the Trinity School mailbox.

RUN THE BOSTON MARATHON – Have you ever wondered what it would be like to run the

Boston Marathon? Here’s your chance to find out! On Monday, April 16th Jeff Luepke will run 26.2

miles through the streets of Boston with the goal of raising $5,000 for the tuition assistance program

at Green Bay Trinity Lutheran School. If you make a donation to the 10th Annual Marathon

Fundraiser, Jeff will send you a mile-by-mile rundown of his adventure in Beantown. Please give

him a call at 265-3192 or email him at [email protected] to make a pledge. Thanks for your

prayers and support.

THE SEVEN LAST WORDS OF CHRIST - APRIL 1 – More than 140 voices of the Dudley

Birder Chorale sing the Easter story in the sacred resonance of St. Norbert Abbey Church (1016 N.

Broadway, DePere) on Sunday, April 1 at 3pm and 7pm. Come enjoy the power and passion of

Theodore Dubois’ cantata, inspired by the last words spoken by Jesus on the cross. Clergy from a

variety of religious backgrounds offer brief words of inspiration between each of the seven

movements. Tickets are $14 and are available at the SNC Box office at (920) 403-3950, online at

tickets.snc.edu or at the door before each concert.

COURAGEOUS – Come for family movie night featuring “Courageous” - an inspiring story about

everyday heroes who long to be the kinds of dads that make a lifelong impact on their children.

Friday, April 13th @ 7:00 p.m. Free Admission - open to everyone. Popcorn will be provided!

St. John Lutheran Church, 910 S. Saint Augustine Street, Pulaski.
