1. By what name are the sacred writings of the Bible commonly known? (Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?” Matthew 21:42)

2. What other title is given to the writings of the Bible? (And he answered and said unto them, “My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it” Luke 8:21 KJV)

3. How were the Scriptures given? (All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV)

4. Who directed men to speak for God? (For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:21 KJV)
