• A separate legal entity formed by the documents filed with your state.

• Adidas is a corporation.• A disadvantage is double taxation.• An advantage is they can utilize corporate

benefit health plans

Franchises

• Subway- an advantage is the sell healthy food. A disadvantage would be they don’t pay great.

• McDonalds- an advantage is there are a lot of McDonalds so it would be easy to get a job. A disadvantage would be you may would have to work at night and would have to deal with not the nicest people.

Mission Statement

• The purpose of a mission statement is so the customers know what their goals and what they will do to help the community, etc.

• Google’s mission statement- Don’t Be Evil!

Goals

• It is important to set short term and long term goals for your employees so they have something to work for instead of just going to work and not doing anything.

Organization Chart

• a diagram that shows the structure of an organization, classifications of work and jobs, and the relationships among those classifications.

• At our house we set up a calendar of everything we have to do.

Charts

• The difference between a functional organization chart and a Matrix organizational chart is a functional chart is arranged within main business functions such as productions, operations, marketing and human resources and a matrix chart is structured around specific projects, products, or customer groups.
