This is the opening shot of Ellie Golding who is the producer as well as Calvin Harris of the song Need Your Love. A bit of background information is that Ellie and Calvin are dating which is reflected in the music video. The shot type here is a close up of Ellie with some really abstract lighting blurring the shot.

Here is evidence of Ellie and Calvin are setting the tone and mood of the msuic video, they are happy, romantic and joyful. Again the lighting effect blurrs half the frame, very powerful like the sun. The editing here is fairly basic, slow pace with bits of footage of Ellie and Calvin together. There is also an example of Illustration the words in the song ‘I need your love’ are playing while Ellie and Calvin are sharing love.

This shot is very unique, as you would think the camera on the phone which Calvin is holding would take the picture, known as a selfie. But someone has taken footage of Calvin taking a photo of himself. This shot can be seen as marketing and product placement the phone Calvin is using is advertising.

All the footage so far is filmed from either a GoPro or a similar camera, all the shots have been different but the style in shot have been similar. The music video is like a brief snippet of their life caught on camera. Arguably this is a example of Televised Bard telling a story of the performers life.

This shot I find is fairly humorous in the sense that Ellie and Calvin have left the camera on the beach and leave it recording, enabling the viewer to see what random people do with the camera. The editing here is fairly fast pace which contrast with the music, the editing here is like montage fast editing showing ltos of different things in a short amount of time.

This is the next shot followign the dsicovery of the camera on the beach. The guy takes the camera and walks away with it filming the rest of his day.

Continuation of filming from the handheld camera shows what people are getting up to. The editing here becomes a little bit quicker as it builds up to the chorus and the shots are about 3 seconds long before something new is shown. The pace of the editing also compliments the pace of the music.

I think this is a fantastic shot, Ellie and Calvin were shooting in Florida and this is a shot of the dockland. Again revisiting that idea of Televised Bard and a story being told, the cruise ship in the shot has something to do with the next couple bits of footage in the video. In this video there is no evidence of electronic shaman nothing is supernatural.

In the last chorus of the song we see this, Calvin Harris performing his song while Ellie Golding is in the audience. This is a small example of commercial exhibitionist where the artist is trying to sell an image of themselves.

This is the final shot in the video and ends the same way the music video started, both Ellie and Calvin hugging and kissing. But the twist is they are dancing on the cruise to their own music. The music video represents a day from morning waking up, to finishing in the night, in a club on a cruise, but the viewer is invited to experience a day with the artist and performer.
