• A lot of ‘different’ movements

The on-camp projects

• Vleugel F, organization subsidized by the city to support youth movements around Leuven

• On camp projects: promote a certain theme for their summer camp

• Mostly a competition between these movements around the theme

• Promotion of culture in youth movements

• Why culture? To show that games or activities can easily start from culture

• To create a link between the culture facilities of Leuven and the youth movements

• Gives advice around cultural activities on schools, publications on culture and youth,…

• Again a competition between youth movements: seduce Sien Eggers

• With a cultural activity; for instance theater, music, art,…

• In cooperation with an artist who’s expert in the discipline they want to work in

• Capture the end-product and send to Vleugel F

• Why a competition? Motivational, easy to get other youth movements involved,…

• Why Sien Eggers? Cultural icon + very popular with young people

• To enroll: send an idea how to seduce Sien through a fill-out form on the website

• 4 participants: Akabe Heverlee, Scouts Leuven, Chiro Spirit & JNM Leuven

Strengths and weaknesses

• Strengths: Competition, experience in working with children and youth, personal network

• Weaknesses: youth movements are already way too busy, culture can be anything, price is maybe not appealing enough
