Protecting our Possession…..• Possession : The state of having ,

owning or controlling something. Ownership, custody, charge, title, hold, guardianship, etc.• Protect: Keep safe from harm or injury;

Aim to preserve, to shield;- • Protecting: Providing Protection or

shelter.

Why Protecting our Possessions

• There is someone that actually mean to harm or distort your possession. That person is the devil.

1pet. 5:8 – He prowls around looking for whom to devour. Eph. 6: 12 – We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities.

Why Protecting our Possessions

• Matt. 13: 24- 28a – Because this enemy will sow weed/ tares among our wheat and corn.

Let him that thinks he stand stand firm lets he falls. Rev. 12: 10, 12- He is filled with fury because his time is short.You Must agree with me that there is no comfort zone for the Christian. The devil is always on the edge of his seat because of us.

By Faith …..• Job- A man that was extremely protective

yet the devil cunningly looked for ways to bring him down. Job’s case is a classic that shows us that we can not be very sure of our acts to protect our selves.

Job 1: 1-5- Job did all to protect himself and his household in righteous needs. Job 1: 8-11, Job 2: 1-5Job 42:12

By Faith …..• Nehemiah- Over came by Faith –

Neh. 4: 1- 3, 6-9 , 16-18, Tobiah, Sanballat and other mockers of Israel : vowed to destabilize the rebuilding effort . Emphasis 6:15 -16. • Esther : Changed the destiny of a

people that had ben marked for destruction. Esth. 4:12-15

How not to Protect Your Possessions..

• Do not be a Profane, careless or reprobate person

Saul is a very good example here. 1sam. 13ff. Emphasis 7-14. • Do not be disobedient • Do not serve another God or go to

Endor. It will anger our God. • Do not depend on your personal

abilities• Complaining

How to Protect our possession….

• Know what the will of God is … Eph. 5: 15 – 17, Luk. 10:19.• Never go about without your Armor- Eph.

6 : 10 -11• Look unto Jesus – John 16: 33, Heb. 12 : 1-

3, Phil. 4:6-7• Know your Limits• Put your faith to work• Give it back to God- Phil. 4:6-7

Conclusion

•Make your calling and election sure 2Pet. 1: 10-11.•Be Self Controlled and Alert. Cast

you cares upon him. 1Pet. 5: 6-8. Phil. 4: 6-7
