1. Good News About the Judgment More about Jesus Seminar #13 - Guide To see the 26 Video seminars complete links list, visit http://nfltrashtalk.com/peaceful-resources/ We'll have no problem with the Judgment... once we understand what sin is verses our relationship with God. 'Behaviorists' will always have a problem with the judgment because their concepts are all based upon their performance, and they will never be able to say they have reached perfection. On the other hand; Blessed Assurance to a friend of God is knowing that He shall soon return to bring His friends home. How does Jesus plan to take care of His friends on Judgment Day? What does the Bible teach about the reality of the Judgment? There are many text but here are four to get a good idea of what's being said. 2. Mt 25:31 [RSV] "When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, So we can see that there is Biblical proof that there is going to be some kind of final Judgment. We see that Jesus is the Judge. 3. John 5:22 "For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, John 5:26 & 27 "For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. Romans 2:16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. And one more... Romans 14:10 [NKJV] But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written: "As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God." 12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. So we see that God the Father isn't the one who is doing the judging, it's Jesus, and yet many have a negative view, or a fear of God based upon the judgment. 4. Re 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. Wow, I never noticed that before! Basically, it looks like the devil has been nagging God for 6,000 years, and I'm betting that God will love to end that! Clearly the devil has been accusing God of being unfair from the very beginning, based upon the bad choices man has made. 5. Mt 25:34 "Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 'for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 'I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' Well, it 'appears' so far like it's about what you did or didn't do. Mt 25:41 "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 'for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 'I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.' 6. The one group did the right stuff, and the other group did the wrong stuff, so it appears to be all about your works, right? Here's some more. Re 22:12 "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. So what is the only way you can do good works? John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. Isa 60:21 Your people also will all be righteous; they will inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, so that I may be glorified. This is talking about the children of Israel being restored to their land after being carried off as prisoners for years, but it has a dual meaning. The Land of Promise also means the Promise of the renewed, perfect Earth. Mt 5:16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven. 7. John 15:8 In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you shall be My disciples. Jesus said I am the vine you are the branches, apart from the vine we will not bare fruit. Now Lee is saying Jesus is the gardener & the vine can't bare good fruit without care from the gardener. When you visit a beautiful garden you naturally wonder who it is that takes such great care of the garden, Who's the gardener? 8. Rarely do people wonder where they got the seeds from. The seeds don't arrange themselves, and the plants don't water themselves or pull their own weeds. It's the gardener who gets the credit. 9. Php 1:6 [NKJV] being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; Php 1:11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. 10. Obedience is so important to God that he won't leave it up to us to complete it. He expects us to let Him do it for us. Jesus want's us to stick with Him so that He can complete the works in us, so He can produce fruit in us. 11. If you don't have a relationship with Jesus then everything you do is evil. It just keeps coming back to the same basic truth. It IS all about having, or not having, a growing developing constant daily relationship with God. Enoch walked with God daily, EVERY DAY, until God took him. Here Is The Promise! 12. Very Good News Indeed! @ the 45:20 mark, Morris tells a parable about a criminal named Tom. I'm afraid I have no bonus materials today, but my prayers are with you all every day! To see the 26 Video seminars complete links list, visit http://nfltrashtalk.com/peaceful-resources/
