What is daydreaming?It is a short-term detachment from one’s immediate surroundings and substituted by a visionary fantasy.
Why do we daydream?
Daydreaming = Meditating
How do we daydream?When our mind is relaxed, that is when we tend to daydream.
You’re bored and don’t want to do the task in front of you. So, you daydream to preoccupy yourself.
Causes of daydreaming.• To escape reality.• To indulge one’s self.• To give us hope and help us get
through the rougher patches of life.
Effects of daydreaming.PROs:• It supports the process of creativity.• Helps plan for the future.• Allows learning from success and
failure.• Improves emotional regulation.
Effects of daydreaming.CONs:• Daydreaming may lead to accidents.• Daydreaming is counterproductive.• Maladaptive Daydreaming.
