Prophets Birthday

• “God and His angels send blessing on the Prophet. O ye that believe! Send blessings on him and salut him with all respect.” (Quran 33v56)

• Isra – Night journey• Miraj – Ascension

• “Glory to god who did take His servant for a journey by night from the sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque whose precincts we did bless – in order that we might show him some of our signs; for He is the one who heareth and seeth all things.” (Quran 17 v1)

Sacred Months

• “The number of months in the sight of God is twelve (in a year) so ordained by Him. The day He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are sacred” (Quran 9v36)

• Dhul Qadah, Dhul Hijja Muharram & Rajab

• 4 months during which Muslims are encouraged to fast and shouldn’t fight.
