SAN MATEO: MOUNTAIN BIKING CAPITAL
KNOW THE WORD,
DO THE WORD
19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note ofthis: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to becomeangry, 20 because human anger does notproduce the righteousness that God desires.21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and theevil that is so prevalent and humbly acceptthe word planted in you, which can saveyou.
JAMES 1:19-27
22 Do not merely listen to the word, and sodeceive yourselves. Do what itsays. 23 Anyone who listens to the word butdoes not do what it says is like someonewho looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, afterlooking at himself, goes away andimmediately forgets what he looks like.
JAMES 1:19-27
25 But whoever looks intently into theperfect law that gives freedom, andcontinues in it—not forgetting what theyhave heard, but doing it—they will beblessed in what they do. 26 Those whoconsider themselves religious and yet do notkeep a tight rein on their tongues deceivethemselves, and their religion is worthless.
JAMES 1:19-27
27 Religion that God our Father accepts aspure and faultless is this: to lookafter orphans and widows in their distressand to keep oneself from being polluted bythe world.
