Judaism Religions

The religion of Judaism has over 13 million followers in the world, and all of them follow one or more of the religious rituals. Some of the rituals include, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, Shabbat )Hebrew for Sabbath(, Rosh Hashanah )The Jewish New Year( and Chanukkah.

The two most known religion worships are Bar or Bat Mitzvahs and Chanukkah. Bar Mitzvahs are for boys that are becoming adults. And Bat Mitzvahs are for girls that are becoming adult women. Chanukkah is the significance of remembering the rededication of the Temple after it was defiled by the Greeks. These two religious rituals are just a couple of the many Judaism rituals.

Synagogue – A place to pray

Almost all religious worships take place in a synagogue. A synagogue to Judaism is like a church to Christianity, they’re both sacred praying places to their religions. A synagogue is a centre for praying, education and for social life. Decorations inside depends on the country the synagogue is located in. Decorations could range from very plain to exquisite designs on the walls.

Every synagogue has an ark, which contains richly decorated designs of Torah scrolls are kept. They face towards the holy land of Jerusalem. Above the ark is the Ner Amid, the everlasting light, which never goes out.
