TODAY’S MESSAGE :

STRETCHING YOUR

IMAGINATION ( TO FULFILL GOD'S DREAMS FOR YOUR

LIFE )

• That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, "No eye

has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for

those who love him."[4]

1Corinthians 2:9 NLT

With God's power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can

ask or imagine.

EPHESIANS 3:20 NCV ( NEW CENTURY VERSION )

WHAT TO DO TO STRETCH YOUR IMAGINATION

• # Doubt is one giant hindrance to have imagination of God's dreams for your life.

• # Doubt your doubts and believe your beliefs

• #Doubt is always a choice. Faith is always a choice.

1.) LET GO OF YOUR DOUBT

• JOSHUA 1:9

TODAY'S LIVING BIBLE

Be bold and strong! banish fear and doubt! For

remember, the Lord your God is with you wherever

you go.

James 1:6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

James 1:7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord;

James 1:8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

• a.) Comparing your abilities • 2Corinthians 10:12 We wouldn't put ourselves in

the same class with or compare ourselves to those who are bold enough to make their own recommendations. Certainly, when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves to themselves, they show how foolish they are..

THREE CAUSES OF DOUBT

• b.) Dwelling on your failures • Isaiah 43:18 "Forget the former things;

do not dwell on the past.• Isaiah 43:19 See, I am doing a new

thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

• c.) Lying spirits speaking doubts to your mind

• 1Timothy 4:1 Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from what we believe; they will follow lying spirits and teachings that come from demons.

• Proverbs 4:4

he taught me and said, "Lay hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands and you will live.

2. LAY HOLD OF GOD'S PROMISES

• Joshua 1:3 (NLT)

I promise you what I promised Moses: `Everywhere you go, you will be on land I have given you--

• Joshua 23:14 "Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the LORD your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.

• A.) The Promise of God's SUCCESS • Joshua 1:7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all

the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

• Joshua 1:8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Note: Two Valuable Promises to Joshua in chapter 1 ( and to you ! )

• B.) The Promise of God's STRENGTH• Joshua 1:5 No one will be able to stand up

against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

• Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

• C.) The promise of God's SUPPORT• Joshua 1:5 No one will be able to stand up against

you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

• Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

• Joshua 1:5 No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

3.) LEAN ON OUR DEPENDABLE GOD

• Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

• Proverbs 3:6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

• V.5

• (AMP)

• Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

• (NLT)

• Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

• NOTE: • THE FIRST STEP IS THE MOST

IMPORTANT STEP IN THE JOURNEY, YOU CAN’T REACH ANY DESTINATION WITHOUT TAKING THE FIRST STEP

4.) LAUNCH OUT IN COURAGEOUS FAITH

• Joshua 1:10 So Joshua ordered the officers of the people:

• Joshua 1:11 "Go through the camp and tell the people, 'Get your supplies ready. Three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving you for your own.'

• Joshua 3:14 So when the people broke camp to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead of them.

• Joshua 3:15 Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water's edge,

• Joshua 3:16 the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea [2])was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.

• Joshua 3:17 The priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, while all Israel passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry ground.

• NOTE:

• Adrenalin rush. Thrill Seeker.

• The greatest thrill is doing something big and difficult you have never done before that has eternal value and deeply pleases God

CONCLUSION:• Ephesians 3:20

• God can do anything, you know--far more than you could ever

imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by

working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.
