Gathering Song
Shall We Gather at the River
423 ELW
Yes, we'll gather at the river,the beautiful, the beautiful
river;gather with the saints at the
riverthat flows by the throne of
God.
Shall we gather at the river, where bright angel feet have
trod, with its crystal tide forever flowing by the
throne of God?
On the margin of the river,washing up its silver spray,we will walk and worship
ever,all the happy golden day.
Yes, we'll gather at the river,
the beautiful, the beautiful river;
gather with the saints at the river
that flows by the throne of God.
Ere we reach the shining river, lay we ev'ry burden down; grace our spirits
will deliver, and provide a robe and crown.
Yes, we'll gather at the river, the beautiful, the beautiful river; gather
with the saints at the river that flows by the throne of
God.
Soon we'll reach the shining river, soon our pilgrimage will cease; soon our happy hearts will quiver with the melody of
peace.
Yes, we'll gather at the river, the beautiful, the beautiful river; gather with the saints at the
riverthat flows by the throne of God.
Welcome and Invocation
Opening Song
For all the Saints
#422 ELW vs. 1,2,3
For all the saints who from their labors rest,
who thee by faith before the world confessed,thy name, O Jesus,
be forever blest.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thou wast their rock, their
fortress, and their might;
thou, Lord, their captain in
the well-fought fight; thou,
in the darkness
drear, their one true light.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Oh, blest communion,
fellowship divine, we feebly
struggle, they in glory shine;
yet all are one in thee,
for all are thine.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
P: Blessed be the holy Trinity, one God, who forgives all our sin, whose mercy endures forever.
All: Amen.
P: Let us confess our sin in the presence of God, the whole company of heaven, and our sisters and brothers in this community.
Confession & Forgiveness
P: Holy and gracious God,
All: we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed. We have lived too often for the present, without regard for generations to come.
We have sought the realms of this world, rather than your promised reign of justice and peace.
Have mercy on us, forgive our sins, and bring us to everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
P: How blessed are those whose sins are forgiven. In the mercy of almighty God, I announce to you the entire forgiveness of your sins, in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
All: Amen.
Kyrie – p.154
Lord, have mercy.Christ, have mercy.Lord, have mercy, have mercy, Oh Lord

Christ, our Lord. Grant us
grace to follow your blessed

commitment,
Prayer of the Day
and to know the

Apostles’ Creed p. 127 ELW
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come again into judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen

God and the Lamb. Let us pray…
All: O God, the generations rise and pass away before you. You are the strength of those who labor; you are the rest of the blessed dead. We rejoice in the company of your saints.
We remember all who have lived in faith, all who have peacefully died, and especially those most dear to us who now rest in you.
Give us in time our portion with those who have trusted in you and have striven to do your holy will. To your name, with the Church on earth
and the Church in heaven, we ascribe all honor and glory, now and forever. Amen.

Go Love Serve
When the Saints Go Marching In
I’m just a weary pilgrim plodding through this world of
sin,
Getting ready for that city when the saints go marching in.
When the saints go marching in, When the saints go
marching in;
Lord I want to be in that number, When the saints go
marching in.
My father loved the savior;
what a soldier he had been!
But his steps will be more steady when the saints go marching in
When the saints go marching in,
When the saints go marching in;
Lord I want to be in that number, When the saints go marching
in.
And mother, may God bless her, I can see her now as then;
With a robe of white around her when the saints go marching in.
When the saints go marching in, When the saints go marching in;Lord I want to be in that number, When the saints go marching in.
Up there I’ll see the Savior who redeemed my soul from sin;
With extended hands He’ll greet me when the saints go
marching in.
When the saints go marching in, When the saints go marching
in;
Lord I want to be in that number, When the saints go
marching in.
Go in Peace.

619 ELW VS 1-6
I know that my Redeemer lives!What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead;
He lives, my everliving head!
He lives triumphant from the grave; he lives eternally to save;
He lives exalted, throned above;
He lives to rule his church in love.
He lives to grant me rich supply;he lives to guide me with his eye; he lives to comfort me when faint;
He lives to hear my soul's complaint
He lives to silence all my fears;he lives to wipe away my tears;
he lives to calm my troubled heart;
he lives all blessings to impart.
He lives to bless me with his love;
he lives to plead for me above;
he lives my hungry soul to feed;
he lives to help in time of need.
He lives my kind, wise, heav'nly friend;
he lives and loves me to the end;
he lives, and while he lives, I'll sing;
he lives, my prophet, priest, and king!
