For 60 years PCM's goal has been the same: to proclaim the Gospel and to establish and
encourage churches in Poland. From the early days under communism when assistance included
clothing, medicine, and Bibles until today when 22,000 assembled in a Warsaw stadium to publicly exalt
the name of Jesus -- the mandate of the mission remains unchanged. Seasons may come and go and
methodologies may vary, but the calling endures. Our great desire is that the people of Poland would
worship God, trust in His Son, and live with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. May God, in His mercy
and by His strength, use us to partner with the churches in Poland to this glorious end.

PCM is privileged to partner with a few in-country ministries to help build God's Church in Poland. We would like to highlight three of these partnerships:
Bronek and Nina Hury publish a quarterly magazine entitled "Słowo i Życie" ("Word and Life"). The magazine features Biblical teachings, inspirational articles, reflections on current events, and church-related news updates. Distributed to the Christian churches throughout the country, it is an excellent means to inform and encourage the body of believers in Poland. Bronek and Nina's office is located near the center of Warsaw. Many a weary traveler have enjoyed the "guest room" attached to the office. We so appreciate their gracious hospitality and willingness to assist guests in Warsaw.
In the late 1990's, Kazik and Dorota Barczuk began providing humanitarian aid for the Jewish people of Poland, Russia, and Ukraine. In 2003 they established "Send Me Ministries," a ministry which has expanded significantly. Kazik travels extensively throughout both Poland and Israel, teaching the Church about her Jewish roots and building friendly relations between Jews and non-Jews. He leads Shabbat (Sabbath) meetings each Friday evening in the Puławska church in Warsaw.
In partnership with Chosen People Ministries, Kazik and Dorota welcome Holocaust survivors, Israeli teens, and Israeli soldiers to Poland. This ministry is bearing fruit as Jewish teens and adults are placing their trust in Yeshua (Jesus), the Messiah. Because of his humble spirit, God has opened many doors for Kazik to develop relationships with important dignitaries in both Israel and Poland. His service on behalf of the Jewish people is well-known and respected. It is an honor to partner with Kazik and Dorota and to take part in their various initiatives. This summer a short-term team from Savannah, GA, served the Holocaust survivors at Ostroda Camp.
Since 2011, Nate and Ola Berry have served the Polish churches
through ProEcclesia. Over the years ProEcclesia has been successfully
engaging Polish culture through church plants, developing high-caliber leaders, and establishing a culture of discipleship within Polish churches.
The next phase of focus is the development of the Emerging Leaders Internship (ELI-see David's article on the backpage), a highly structured and intense process for equipping a new generation of Polish leaders who will be prepared to plant new churches, multiply existing churches, and revitalize dying churches. Nate is serving on the pastoral staff at the Puławska Church in Warsaw.

What about…the NEXT 60 YEARS?
In I Samuel we read of Eli, the priest, and the role he played in Samuel’s life.
ELI prayed a blessing over Hannah and Elkanah and the Lord blessed them with three sons and two daughters.
ELI took Samuel under his wing and taught him the ways of the Lord. The Scriptures say, “And the boy Samuel continued to grow in stature and in favor with the Lord and with people.”
ELI was a mentor who helped Samuel recognize God’s calling in his life.
When ELI finally realized it was the Lord speaking to Samuel in the night, he instructed him to say, “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening.” Because Samuel obeyed, he became a great prophet. “And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba recognized that Samuel was attested as a prophet of the Lord.”
Poland needs “ELI’s” who will pray for, teach, and mentor the next generation of “Samuel’s.” But the difficult challenge facing the Polish churches is this: Who will be these “Samuel’s” -- the next generation of church planters and leaders in
Poland?
I am excited to report that the Emerging Leaders Internship (ELI) program will launch in October 2014 to address this very issue. The four Warsaw churches will work together to provide practical, hands-on training for 8 young, emerging leaders. The lead Pastors in each of the four Warsaw congregations will serve as mentors for the interns. Additional training will be provided by experienced guest speakers brought in throughout the year. While initially focused on church plants in Warsaw, the long-term goal is to create a leadership pipeline for future preachers and church
planters in Poland. ELI is needed NOW – and we’re pumped to be part of it!
