- Its Path – “The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts” (Psa. 10:4; cf. Isa. 55:8; Jer. 10:23)

- Its Persecution – “The wicked in his pride doeth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined” (Psa. 10:2; cf. Psa. 10:8-10; Obad. 10-14; Luke 10:31-32)

- Known Afar Off – “Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off” (Psa. 138:6)

- Day of the Lord – “For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low” (Isa. 2:12; cf. Psa. 10:14-18)
