WHAT DO I LOOK TO MYSELF?

Im a taller big boned guy. People often literally look up to me which makes

height my favorite attribute.

My friends think im the tall funny guy who they can trust with many things.

They would most likely see me as a tall big guy, once you meet me you find

out that I'm a friendly guy.

BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I’VE BEEN GIVEN?

Do what makes YOU happy, don’t let other people guide your life and force

you into things that you don’t like.

MY FAVORITE POSSESSION

My favorite possession is a shadow box my auntie made for me with

badges, newspaper clippings and old tickets from my grandpas

basketball career. He later served in the war and died of cancer.

MY CLOSEST FRIEND(S) ARE

I have a few, my brother and I are really close now that we have both grown

up (used to fight all the time) , and my friend Hannah. I’ve known her

since grade three and we have had a lot of good memories together. We

have grown apart but I’m hoping we talk more this summer.

MY PET PEEVE

People bullying or making fun of others behind their back. I know how It

feels so when I see others doing it I can relate. I have a strong hatred for

cyber bullying. (over facebook, twitter ect…)

BIBLICAL PASSAGE

your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your

spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,

but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to

test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

THINGS THAT I’D LIKE TO:

Have: money to repay my parents for all they have spent on me

See: I want to travel

Taste: The clam chowder from Pei, it would just bring back memories of the whole family on a perfect trip across the east coast in the motor home.

Touch: I think that it would be amazing to go scuba diving with all different kinds of marine life. Petting a manta ray would be cool.

Smell: The florida breeze, I miss going there with the family.

CLOTHING STYLES

Im not a fashion expect but guys like to wear lots of brand names. Pants

have to be either extremely tight or baggy and for some reason big

glasses are in. As I said im not a huge fashion expert so that’s all I can

put in.

MUSIC I ENJOY

When down in Florida I was lucky enough to see a few roots regaee bands

named; Rebelution, the expendables, and passafire. I really enjoy this

music because it is all upbeat. The odd song is about drugs, but it’s a

lot easier to listen to then most of todays depressing songs. A good

song by passafire is ‘Feel It’.

MY FAMILY

My father: His name is Mike and he’s an instructor at NAIT. He’s a real handyman always having a project on his hands… whether its building a massive pergola in our backyard or tinkering on his motorcycles he always has something going on.

My Mother: Michele was a professional baker for her whole life until she filed for WCB because of complications caused from doing the same motions for years. She lost partial motion in one arm at the elbow. She just finished up a hospital unit Clerk program and is now getting ready to find her new job!

My brother: Garret is turning 20 in September. After completing a millwright course at nait he is now working at a compressor company rolling in the dough. He has a girlfriend since grade 10. Lately (since I’m now 18) He has been wanting to hangout with me even more than before. We can finally spend time together at the bar!

MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

Although I am not officially baptized I was raised in a catholic home. I have

not attended much church so I not well educated religiously. I believe

that that’s ok because I acknowledge that there is a god, and I can still

get closer to him.

I LIKE/DISLIKE PEOPLE WHO…

I like people who… Are genuine, easy to get along with and truthful with

that they say. I have met too many people who lie to become more

appealing.

I dislike people who… Pick on others, lie, cheat, disrespectful.

EVENTS THAT CHANGED MY LIFE

Playing basketball provided me with many special opportunities. Playing in

peace river in 2010 was the best basketball experience I’ve had. I’ve met

so many people from this sport and it has changed how I look upon life.

My grandmother was sick (she was a heavy smoker) and the doctors

prepared us for the worst. My brother and I went in to see her for

possibly the last time. I was the one to feed her ice chips, it may sound

weird but that was the first thing she ate/drank other than IV for a week.

The look on her face was pure thankfulness. She amazed us all and

pulled through and quit smoking for good. She’s healthier and happier

then before! This made me realize that life's fragile family can get

through anything together.

IN TWENTY YEARS…

It’s a scary thought. I see myself married with a wife and eventually two

kids. My main goal is to live comfortably, I don’t need fancy things just

all the necessities. As you can see in the picture below… I’m quite the

catch.

ONE WAY IM…

Like everybody else… I want to be successful in life

Differ from everybody… lots of young adults have misguided intentions

with woman at the bar, I would NEVER take advantage of someone who

is intoxicated.

(that’s all I could think of for the second one)

SOMETHING MY FAMILY HAS TAUGHT ME

You don’t always need the newest and best things to get by, all you need is

the help of a family. It’s a strong thing when everyone is working

towards one common goal.

I don’t have any pictures of the whole family on

my laptop. Just pretend my mom is on the right

side.

MICHAEL JORDAN

I admire MJ because from his childhood he never gave up. He was cut from

his jr high basketball team but just practiced more and he became the

face of the NBA. He just reminds me that if you want something bad

then you can achieve it. This is a really inspirational speech for

HOW I FEEL ABOUT EDUCATION

I feel like education marks on what you know more then creativity.

Sometimes creativity is just as good as knowledge. I really enjoyed the

option classes I have took part in throughout my career. Mr. Johnson

was a really good teacher this year helping to accommodate my

illnesses and catching me up.

PLACES I’VE LIVED OR VISITED

I’ve only lived in edmonton and now sherwood park.

We have visited many places, we drove to the east coast.

We had a house in Florida so we went every Christmas.

I went to peace river and swan hills for basketball… that was a different

experience.

CREED

I want to lead a life that promotes my personal believes. I will do what I

think is right and not let others hinder my view. I want to give back to

my community and family.

THREE GOALS

Live a successful life that would make my parents proud

Get through nait and find a job close to home

Get back into shape and play men's league basketball because I love the

sport.

CAREER PLANS

I am going to nait for EMR, EMR-T and EMR-P. I am doing this because I feel

like I can give back to my community in many ways with this job. After a

couple years of service I will train to become a firefighter as well.
