Spiritual Freedom by Robert Woeger God loves you! He wants to see you free in EVERY area of your life, including your body, emotions, mind, and your soul. In fact, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die on The Cross to pay the penalty for all your sins, and to redeem you, so that you may be free! And Jesus did just that. He faithfully FINISHED the work that The Father had sent Him to accomplish! Jesus was resurrected, and now sits at the right hand of The Father. He set up everything so you could triumph and reign with Him, eternally abiding in His Presence and Love. God, first and foremost, wants to be believed. Faith is taking God at His Word, and demonstrating you truly believe Him, by having your words, thoughts, and actions line up with what His Word says is The Truth. You please God when you live with a lifestyle of faith, continually believing Him. When you believe God it will be credited to you as Righteousness, just as God did with Abraham and also many other Fathers of The Faith. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6. You can’t earn salvation by works, but you confirm your faith in God, and in Christ, by your works, including actions and words demonstrating who and what you believe and will serve. “For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Romans 4:3-5. What you believe controls you, so be careful who you choose to obey! Many people are deceived into forgetting to diligently pursue after God and Jesus Christ. Failure to maintain their relationship with God and Jesus Christ, will result in a rebellious lifestyle, without faith and holiness. Jesus expects us to continue abiding in faith in Him, and in God’s Word. Many people are not free because they refuse to properly obey and believe God’s Instructions. “...If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:31-32, 36. Faith is belief in God, and Jesus Christ. “...whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” Romans 14:23. Your belief in God must be faithfully kept. Everything that is not birthed of and wrapped in faith, is sin. If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15. Spiritual pollution occurs when you permit yourself, knowingly or unknowingly, to enter into an agreement with evil forces, things, or people. God protects us from many things, but the devil looks for any legal door that you have permitted him to have access, control, or influence in your life, or that you were born with. Covenants and agreements are binding upon you, and on your heirs. Not only do you have to suffer for your own bad choices, but curses and behaviors can be passed on to your offspring, for generations, as a result of words, actions, and choices. Your words have power. Your words will speak life or death. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21. Be careful with each word that you speak, not to call curses down on your self or on your family. Careless words will have impact. “...the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Matthew 12:33-37. Too many people, who call themselves Christians, or followers of Christ, fail to adequately guard the words that they speak, their thoughts, and their actions, to glorify God and Jesus Christ. Many of them will tolerate all forms of evil to be continuously dumped on them through television, movies, books, Internet, and people. “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,” 2 Corinthians 6:17. God will not violate free will. What you tolerate, God permits. Purify your thoughts and words by prayer and reading God’s Word. Stop tolerating sin and all forms of evil.
