We owe the flesh nothing but enmity and war. Don't dally with your destroyer. Don't be a debtor to your destroyer. Get out debt to the flesh, don't pay for your own destruction

Pay = addictions

Putting to death(KILL) the deeds of body by the spirit, that is daily practicing killing sin, is the RESULT of being justified and the sure evidence of being justified by faith apart from works of the law.

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14

Living by flesh = not making war
