•As we near Memorial Day this year our hearts are remembering the great sacrifices made by our fallen heroes and those still alive.•But today especially let us Remember the greatest Hero of All, Jesus Christ! •What is the cost of freedom?

It Cost God His SonIt Cost God His Son

• He gave his only begotten Son. John 3:16

• The Father planned this sacrifice. Acts 2:23; Titus 1:1-3

• He saw the perfect sacrifice offered up. Psalm 22; Hebrews 10:5-10

• He was well pleased with Him! Mt. 17:5

• His sacrifice was perfected (completed). Heb. 5:8-9; Luke 13:32; 22:37; 24:44; John 19:30

It Cost Jesus a Cruel DeathIt Cost Jesus a Cruel Death

• Jesus loved us and gave Himself for us! Titus 2:14; 1 Tim. 2:6; Gal. 1:4; 2:20

• He suffered for us! Heb. 2:9– Betrayed, arrested, and forsaken by friends.

Matthew 26:47-56– Mocked, beaten, spat on, falsely accused…

Mt. 26:57-68 – Scourged, bore a cross, crucified, …died!

The Price of Freedom Is The Price of Freedom Is Sacrifice!Sacrifice!

• Let us be eternally grateful for the sacrifices that have been made for us that we may enjoy the freedom’s that we have been blessed with. 1 Peter 3:18

• We should continually be thankful to God and Christ. Col. 3:15; 1 Thes. 5:18

• May we grow in our awareness and appreciation of the cost of our eternal freedom from sin. Phil. 2:8; John 8:31-35 – We too, must be faithful unto death!

Have You Been To Jesus For His Cleansing Power?

• Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb of God? Rev. 1:5; John 1:29

• You can be saved from sin today by…– Hearing and believing the gospel of Christ.

Romans 1:16-17; 10:17; 1 Cor. 15:3-4– Repenting of sin. Acts 2:38– Confessing your faith in Jesus. Acts 8:37– Being baptized. Acts 22:16
