MybelovedhadavineyardonarichandferFlehill.Heplowedtheland,cleareditsstones,andplanteditwiththebestvines.Inthemiddlehebuiltawatchtowerandcarvedawinepressinthenearbyrocks.Thenhewaitedforaharvestofsweetgrapes,butthegrapesthatgrewwerebiIer.

NowletmetellyouwhatIwilldotomyvineyard:Iwillteardownitshedgesandletitbedestroyed.Iwillbreakdownitswallsandlettheanimalstrampleit.Iwillmakeitawildplacewherethevinesarenotprunedandthegroundisnothoed,aplaceovergrownwithbriersandthorns.Iwillcommandthecloudstodropnorainonit.

ThenaFonofIsraelisthevineyardoftheLordofHeaven’sArmies.ThepeopleofJudaharehispleasantgarden.HeexpectedacropofjusFce,butinsteadhefoundoppression.Heexpectedtofindrighteousness,butinsteadheheardcriesofviolence.
