• 7"Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. 21 ¶ "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.


Is Truth Important to You?• Do you want your

family and friends to tell you the truth once in a while, or all of the time?

• If you were charged with a murder you did not commit, would you want the truth to come out?


Is Truth Important to You?• If I have come to you with an

idea of a business that could give you One Million Naira if you invent like Twenty Thousand Naira, would you want to know the truth before you invent?

• If yes why then do you belief all that you do in religious without finding out the truth?

areas, it appears that truth really is important to you. So what’s on the other side of death?

• If God exists and your destination after physical death is based on the choices you make in this life, would the truth about eternity be important?

high reputation of wisdom has to say ...Acquire “truth” and do not sell it—wisdom, and discipline, and understanding. (NET)

• 23 Truth, wisdom, learning, and good sense — these are worth paying for, but too valuable for you to sell. GNT (Prov 23:23)


Is Truth Important to You? (cont’d)• Truth is the hidden treasure; Jesus Christ

says…“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. –Matt 13:44

• Many slight the gospel truth, because they look only upon the surface of the field (gospel). But all who search the Scriptures, so as in them to find Christ and eternal life, (John 5:39-40 [GNL]), will discover such treasure in this field (gospel)

• Though nothing can be given as a price for this salvation, yet much must be given up for the sake of it. Luke 13:24 (NIV)


Why Truth is Important

• Why is it so important to understand and embrace the concept of absolute truth in all areas of life (including faith and religion)? Simply because life has consequences for being wrong.

• Giving someone the wrong amount of a medication can kill them.

• Boarding the wrong plane will take you where you do not wish to go.

• Eternity is an awfully long time to be wrong.


What is TRUTH?

• Dictionary.com: defines it as• 1. The true or actual state of a matter: 2.

Conformity with fact or reality; 3. A verified or indisputable fact.

• Pilate asked Jesus “What is truth”? (John 18:38)

• To you what is the truth?


What is The Best Way to Find Truth?

• I am sure you will agree that a person can stumble into truth.

• We all guessed correctly on a few school tests. But guessing or hoping to find the truth by mere accident is obviously not the best way to make an important decision.

• The following are three popular ways people use to come to a conclusion that something is true.

• Which one would you pick to make a decision where truth is vital?


What is The Best Way to Find Truth? (cont’d)

• 1. My feelings—it feels right, it gives me purpose, hope and peace of mind, so I believe it’s the truth. (Gen 37:26,27,31-33)

• 2. My family or someone (GO, Pastor) I trust, believes it, so I do.

• 3. Evidence, consistency, best fit to the evidence.



• Approximately 95 percent of the hundreds of people I have asked this specific question pick the third option right away. But a strange thing happens when I ask the same people if they believe in the Bible (New Testament).

• Now the same people who just told me truth was very important and evidence was the best way to find it suddenly say their beliefs about God are not founded on the evidence, but on feelings or on what someone else believes.



• Therefore, it’s likely that your current belief about God is not based on evidence, either.

• The problem is that there are sincere followers in every belief who claim to have found the truth.

• Do all roads lead to heaven? • The only legitimate way to be reasonably sure

our faith is placed in the truth is to examine the objective evidence ourselves. as we would with any major decisions.



• Objective evidence can be examined by everyone and does not change due to emotions, feelings or personal experience.

• Let’s see these two example in the video.

• I am not suggesting that you completely ignore your feelings, as they can be helpful when you have verifiable facts and more than one solid option. So keep your feelings handy, but I urge you to not place them above the facts.


The Truth About Man’ Salvation

• It has always been by God’s designed.– Gen 6:7,13,17; 7:16,23 (1 Pet 3:20; 2 Pet 2:5– Num 21:4-9– John 3:14-21

• "But he who does the truth comes to the light…

• Acted according to truth.


• To act according to truth is to do as it found in the New Testament.– Example: Hear God’s word (Rom 10:17) -Believe
