Trust The Creator, Not The Creation! by Robert Woeger The single most important thing you can do in life is to Trust The Creator! God is The Creator of all things! People get into trouble, distancing themselves from The Creator, by being self-reliant, self-centered, prideful, unfaithful, ungrateful, and deceived to think more highly of themselves. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6. “I BESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” Romans 12:1-3. People look to other people, and things, for knowledge, wisdom, instruction, and help. God wants to be your source for everything, through Christ! “...let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2. Be careful to not take lightly God, or The Great Sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. Too many people treat God as Common, and lack the appropriate reverence, honor, and worship that is due to Him. Faith demonstrates that you believe in God, and in Jesus, with every part of your being, and is shown through the evidence of your thoughts, words, and deeds. It is said that actions speak louder than words. You are constantly being observed, to see if your actions show faith in God, or faith in people and created things. Fidelity is showing God at all times you depend and believe upon Him by demonstrating faith and respect. Many things, and people, will come and try to steal away your fidelity and loyalty to God. When you neglect your relationship with God and with Jesus, you are permitting a wedge of sin to come between you and God! No one wants to be mistreated, disrespected, or distrusted, yet many people give no thought to harming their relationship with God by their thoughts, words, and actions, showing disbelief and rebellion towards God. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Matthew 15:7-9. You will either follow man’s ways or God’s Ways. The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:11-12. God is watching to see if you will yield to His Will, or will follow after your own will instead. See Luke 22:42. Will you be led about by the flesh, the world, and the devil, or permit God’s Spirit and Word to lead you into all Truth? “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” John 16:13-14. Truly, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13. “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.” Acts 17:28. God is your source for all good things through Christ! Remain in faith. “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24. If you trust in a created thing, you deny God the recognition of being Lord of your life in all situations. God demands that His Followers not compromise their faith, belief, and trust in Him and in His Faithfulness. His Followers must maintain a level of trust and respect for Him at all times, without wavering in their faith. You must diligently seek Him at all times, hungering and thirsting after His Righteousness, led by His Spirit, seeking His Will.
