What’s Next

This message is for new Christian converts, who have chosen to follow Jesus Christ, to help discover what is next in the Christian walk. Jesus expects people who believe and trust in Him, as their Savior and their Lord, to actively live and demonstrate their faith continually, no matter what. Water baptism publicly declares your faith in Jesus, where you personally identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. See Acts 2:38.

Once you have placed your faith in Jesus, your destiny and life are now tied to Him. “For in him we live, and move, and have our being...” Acts 17:28. God has reconciled you by Jesus. You are to die to self, and to live through Christ, by putting off the old man, and putting on the new man, by now living through Jesus Christ. See 2 Corinthians 5:17. “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 5:24, 2:20. You have been saved by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ and in His Blood and Finished Work. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” Ephesians 2:8.
