The World Culture Festival in the Olympiastadion Berlin is expected to

bring together more than 70,000 participants from 151 countries in an

• 48,800 hygiene camps and 23,600 medical camps conducted benefiting 2.5 million people

• Reached 36,557 villages in India with the 5H program (Health, Hygiene, Homes, Harmony in diversity, Human values)

• 1727 homes, 5870 toilets, 1046 bore-wells and 820 bio-gas plants built

• 261 accordionists performed traditional Tatar songs (Secret of Secrets, Kazan, Russia, 2010)

• Over 2750 Indian classical vocalists on one stage (Antarnaad, Pune, India, 2010)

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar founded The Art of Living as an international, non-profit, educational andhumanitarian organization.

Its educational and self-development programs offer powerful tools to eliminate stress and foster asense of well-being.

Appealing not only to a specific population, these practices have proven effective globally and at alllevels of society.

As a spiritual teacher, he has rekindled the traditions of yoga and meditation and presented themin a form relevant to the 21st century.

In a mere 30 years, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s programmes have raised the quality of life for participantsin 151 countries.

As an ambassador of peace, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar plays a key role in conflict resolution and spreadshis vision of non-violence at public forums and gatherings world-wide. Regarded as a neutral figurewith a sole agenda of peace, he represents hope to people in conflict.

His work has touched the lives of millions of people around the world, going beyond the barriers ofrace, nationality and religion with the message of a “One World Family”.

He co-founded the International Association for Human Values (IAHV) in 1997 to coordinatesustainable development projects, nurture human values and coordinate conflict resolution inassociation with The Art of Living.

A noted humanitarian leader, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s programmes have provided assistance to peoplefrom a wide range of backgrounds including

• victims of natural disasters

• survivors of terror attacks and war

• children from marginalized populations
