Know how to edit, film, and produce. You must be extremely nimble in how you bring value to the table. That said, you can’t do everything: kow your limits, what you stand for, and where your interests lie.

If you don’t have the capital to make a film, volunteer. But let your goals be known early on! Ask your employer to look at your reels and plant little seeds with a long-term view.

Deeds, not words. If you say you’ll be there at 7 a.m., be there at 7 a.m., no matter how small the task. People will remember that.
