Your Responsibility - Eligibility• To play sports at an NCAA Division I or II institution, the student must: • Complete a certain number of high school core courses
(defined below). • Earn a certain minimum grade point average in these core
courses. • Earn a certain minimum score on the SAT or ACT. • Graduate from high school.

What are the Requirements?• Earn at least a 2.3 grade-point average in core courses.• Meet an increased sliding-scale standard (for example, an SAT score of 1,000 requires a 2.5 high school core course GPA)• Successfully complete 10 of the 16 total required core courses before the start of their senior year in high school. Seven of the 10 courses must be successfully completed in English, math and science.

Amateurism• NCAA reviews all athlete activities to ensure they have maintained an amateur status• Items for review• Prize Money• Travel expenses• Interactions with professional teams• Use of paid agents• Benefits• Contracts or agreements
• Amateur Teams and Clubs• Can only cover travel expenses

Contact Period• Just about all forms of contact are allowed• You are able to meet with the coach off campus• Coaches can come and watch you play• Allowed:• Unofficial visits• Official visits• Home visits• Email• Letters• Calls• Evaluations (During high school or club events)

Evaluation Period• Coaches can watch you play• Not allowed to meet with you off campus• Allowed:• Unofficial visits• Official visits• Email• Letters• Calls• Evaluations (During high school or club events)

Quiet Period• Have to meet on campus• Allowed:• Unofficial visits• Official visits• Email• Letters• Calls
• To prevent high pressure home/off campus meetings just prior to signing day
