Deep are the rootsDmitry was born in a sports family.His mother, Rostovtseva Marina Vasilievna works as a PE teacher at our school 1021

His father, Rostovtsev Ury Urievich is Candidate for Master of Sport in Fire and applied sport and a champion of Moscow on weight lifting

His grandmother, Elkina Evgenia Gavrilovna is a Master of sports of cross-country skiing and cycling

His grandfather, Elkin Vasily Fedorovich is a Master of sports of cross-country skiing, honorary USSR coach of skiing

The beginning Dima was fond of sports from early childhood. At first it was just a game.His family repeatedly participated and won in competitions «Mum,Dad and I -sporting family» Then he decided to follow his grandparents’ footsteps and took up skiing

Hard workDuring 8 years, all year-round, daily Dmitry had run training run, roller skied, gone cross-country skiing for hundreds of thousands kilometres

Successful career startHe came through tough selection to the Russian national team for the Winter European Youth Olympic Festival. It was his first international competition. There Dmitry gained experience in dealing with the best skiers in the world. I

He finished forth in the duatlon for 20 km.And as a member of the relay quartet became a world champion.

In 2012 Dmitry defended the honor of the country in the World Junior Championship in Erzurum (Turkey)

He fetched golden medals in the treasury of the Russian national team in the individual 10 km race freestyle and 15 km classic style in the team race

Working hard, Dima earned the title of master of sports of international class

Currently Dmitry Rostovtsev as a member of Russian national team of cross-country skiing is prepearing for upcoming international competitions
