Charles Joseph John ‘Joe’ Hart returned to Manchester city after spending a Season on loan with Birmingham City to become Roberto Mancini’s first choice Goalkeeper ahead of Shay Given who was Man City’s first choice last season.
Hart started all the League games for the Citizens and was never substituted, he manages 18 clean sheets in the League, the highest this Season and 3 more than Petr Cech in the 2nd place (15 clean sheets), i.e. 47% of the games Hart played, he did not concede any goals. Hart conceded 33 Goals, less than a goal per game, only Edwin Van Der Sar conceded less goals (32) but Hart has played 5 more games than Van Der Sar, in terms of Goals Conceded per Game Hart has the lowest Ratio in the League matching with Chelsea’s Peter Cech (0.8684). Hart managed a total 111 saves this Season with about 3 saves a Season.
Defender of the Season: Nemanja Vidic
Vidic as always has been rock stead y in the United defence helping the team win the League and guiding them in the Champions League Finals. Vidic played 35 Games for United conceding 35 goals, one goal a game and 37% of the games Vidic played in, United managed a Clean Sheet. In the discipline front Vidic committed 39 Fouls and picked up 7 cards, with a card every 6 Fouls.

Vidic’s performance against top EPL teams (Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspurs) has been much better, in the 8 games he played united conceded 7 goals, and 4 of them were clean sheets, Vidic also scored 2 Goals in these games.

Midfielder of the Season: Rafael Van Der Vaart
After not being able to find a spot in the playing 11 for Real Madrid Vaart joined Tottenham for £8 million in the last minutes of the Transfer Deadline. Settling in quickly to English Football Vaart instantly became a key player for Harry Redknapp’s ambitious plans for Tottenham.

Vaart was the top scorer for Tottenham in the league with 13 goals and averaged almost a goal every two games, and scoring 38% of the Club Goals* (Games in which Vaart played Tottenham scored 34). Vaart had on average 4 shots per game with 36% of them on target and 32% of his shots on target ending as Goals.
Although Vaart missed 10 games for Tottenham his performance in the 28 he played is undeniable fantastic, his Goals per Game, % of Club goals, Shots per Game highest in the League and the rest of the parameters challenging the best in the League.
Striker of the Season: Dimitar Berbatov
Dimitar Berbatov and Carlos Tevez ended as top scorers for the season with 20 Goals each but it is very difficult to determine the better Striker amongst them. Berbatov scores his 20 in 32 Games while Tevez played 1 Game less, Tevez created 6 Goals for his teammates while Berbatov made 4, Berbatov had almost 3 shots per game, Tevez averages 4, but Berbatov has a much higher Conversion Rate (43%) as compared to Tevez (37%). Berbatov scored 3 hat tricks this season which includes one against Liverpool (3-2) and Tevez has scored 1 which was against West Bromwich Albion.
